1929 First Women’s National Air Derby. Skill. Passion. Chutzpah. Visionaries before our own VAE Vets.

Dear Reader, Ellen Stettner sent me this link in 2015. She is Jack Stettner’s daughter and knew that I became a private pilot and had taken Saunie flying – a highlight of both of our lives. I cannot miss this opportunity to share the link with you. And, given that it is still active, there might be a way for you to view the entire film. But, just looking at the photos and listening to the Documentary intro today gave me Gooney Bird Bumps (aka goose bumps). So, I hope you will take a look.
