1945 express delivery of perishable produce

All “Breaking News.”

So far, this article is the earliest press coverage found about Veterans Air. [It even pre-dates this Researcher’s Birthdate by more than two months.]

Everyone, including the aircraft, who are mentioned were researched. A few people or their families, despite repeated efforts, were unsuccessfully located, like Arthur and Nellie Brenner, the keystone produce company owners, or LaVerne Bernard Paroly of New York, an AAF Veteran. Plus the C-60 Lockheed Loadstars never joined the aircraft fleet; instead, the Douglas DC-3s and DC-4s were chosen. But the article is rich with people and accurate (and sometimes curious) details.1
