Allen, hello.
Before I write a full message, I’m testing that your email address is
still active.
I have lots of praise for your historical records and lots of
questions. My Dad and his Veterans’ Airlines was one of the cast of
characters at Sebring. I’m researching the airline and found you via
various resource search.
I hope we can be in touch.
My best,
Gaye Lyn

Allen, hello, again.
I’m hoping you receive this. I’m going strong with my research on
Veterans Air Express. Just two days ago, I made contact with one of the
original founders/pilot, Jack Stettner. He’s 92 years old, living with
his family in Florida. We’re planning a Veterans Air Express REUNION
next month. Living within 20 miles, I also found Marilyn Gries, widow of
Navigator Robert Gries. Their stores and others are on my website –
Since my original email did not “bounce back,” I’m taking a chance that
it is still active. Perhaps got caught in your spam filter. Trying
again.
Hope to hear from you.

Yes, I got your email. I may have more pics… will look in the coming
weeks to see what we can find.

Allen, hi.
The Stettners & I have begun to plan the Reunion…I’ve
tentatively scheduled a trip there Aug 7 – 11. Once I know our specific
plans, I’d love to squeeze in a trip to Sebring, see the airport and
meet you. Will you be around during those dates? Also would you
recommend a trip to the Sebring Historical Society archives? Their
website says they’re open Mon – Thurs, so I’d probably have to visit
Monday, Aug 10, if I go at all.
Look forward to hearing from you,
