Could be the DC-3 Gaye Lyn has been identified. Or is the conclusion premature?

Hi Gaye (do you go by Gaye or Gaye Lyn?),

Here is another interesting aircraft tidbit. Attached is a photo of a
Veteran’s C-47 with NC58121 clearly visible on the tail (I don’t know if
this is “your” C-47). And here is an accident report for DC-3 NC58121
“damaged beyond repair” on a flight from Teterboro to Miami.

I’m 99% certain that I just made a positive id of the GAYE LYN !!!!
Al Stettner found this photo of DC-3 NC58121 in Veterans livery. It
cannot be the GAYE LYN because NC58121/MSN 34353 was built 12/8/45 in
OKC. No way we could have taken delivery in time for naming it after me
in late Nov/early December 1945.
This second DC-3 (and my records to date show we only owned two) has
Veterans Air Express livery. She HAS TO BE the GAYE LYN, yes????
Ta Da!
