This was a VERY sweet email, Gaye. My dad will feel like a million
dollars when he reads it! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, Jack.
I fixed my tray of tea and banana bread for breakfast, settled into the
stuffed chair in my writing studio, and picked up my newly arrived copy
of Jing Bao & Beyond. I intended to “just get started” reading it. But
I couldn’t put it down!!!! First I leafed through it to get a feel.
Then I read all the Preface pages. Next thing I knew I was on Page 7 –
which, as YOU know, is much further into the book than 7 pages.
I had to force myself to put it down. I was already over my allotted
time. I guess this challenge of limiting my reading time will continue!
Oh! yes! I didn’t tell you I dug out my magnifying glass (my eyes ain’t
as sharp as they used to be even WITH glasses!) so I could really READ
the photo caption under “Bonds for Lucky Salespeople” and the cleverly
written article under it – “$3,000,000 Worth of Gas Used by Single
Flier” on page 39. Like I said, I leafed through the entire book.
So, now I must get to work. I’ve been battling with my computer for
days with little improvement. More importantly, I’m working on putting
together a research notebook to bring NEXT WEEK!!! I can hardly wait.
Which reminds me, I have to make my airline reservations. Want to
borrow a DC-4 and come get me?????
Have a great day, Jack. And my thanks to your son, Al, for sending me
the books!
Hugs,
Gaye
