I am researching the airline my father founded in 1945 – Veterans

Airline. This article contains incredible details about a story my Dad

told me throughout his life. The article is a treasure — and ironically

I found it on the 69th anniversary of the flight departure from Newark

Airport on May 20, 1946. Today is May 20.

I cannot express the excitement of having found this article. I was

using GeneologyBank.com. I also just left a phone message with your Back

Issues section.

Subject KC Star-McClatchy – Permissions & Licensing Quote Form

Hello Gaye,

Thank you for contacting PARS International, the Reprint and Licensing

Agency which represents The Kansas City Star. Please be advised, the

reuse of the publisher’s copyright or trademark material will incur a

fee for the proper permission license (minimum licensing fee is

approximately $250). In order to begin the licensing process, please

complete and send back the attached Content Licensing Form. We only

require the information that was not included in your initial request.

When you’ve completed the Content Licensing Form, please forward it in

PDF format. Your request will then be sent to a sales representative for

price evaluation.

Our permission process works as follows:

1) A licensing agreement is supplied to you only if the content is

copyright of the publication. If the content is not the copyright of the

publication, you will be notified.

2) Once the licensing agreement is supplied to you, we require a

signature on the agreement along with payment. We will send you a

permission confirmation upon receipt of both items. If there is a

layout of some type, the layout must be submitted for approval prior to

publication/reprinting.

3) Please be advised that copyright permission is not valid until a

confirmation of permission is received by you from PARS International

(not to be confused with a licensing agreement which is merely our offer

of use and pricing). The e-mail you are reading now is simply to show

how our permission process works.

4) Once our accounting department processes the payment, there will be a

paid invoice sent to the supplied e-mail address.

All fees are USD NET. Any foreign taxes and/or paperwork will be the

responsibility of the licensee and not PARS International. Fees,

additional taxes or paperwork associated with sales outside of the

United States, will not be the responsibility of PARS International.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Maria Barrera-Kozluk
