Veterans Air expanded friendships

A map shows the far-reaching route during the summer of 2018 Veterans Air Express research trip...from Santa Fe NM to Prescott AZ and as far northwest as Ashland OR then to Salt Lake City for a round-trip flight to Washington DC.

Thousands of land and air miles, days and weeks on the road, and terrific contact with folks who live and breath aviation. They shared insights into the history of the Non-sked air line era and showed honest interest in the Veterans Air story. Doesn’t get much better than that!

Prague 1946 flight

My Dad’s 1945 airline won a war-relief contract with the UNRRA. His crews flew five DC-4 trips, each loaded with 5 tons of hatching eggs to Prague and Warsaw. Seventy years later, to commemorate that Prague flight, I am going to Prague.
