Veterans Air expanded friendships

The calendar today says 26 October 2018. That disqualifies this summary as Breaking News — as well as the Posts I’ll link-in here as soon as they are written). But mid-June through mid-July, Veterans Air expanded friendships, contacts, perspective, and public exposure, covering 3,550 land miles in Gracie (VAE’s ground transport RV) and 3,700 air miles. The round-trip from Santa Fe looked something like this:

A map shows the far-reaching route during summer 2018 of Veterans Air Express research trip...from Santa Fe NM to Prescott AZ and as far northwest as Ashland OR then to Salt Lake City for a round-trip flight to Washington DC.

Destinations along the 2018 Veterans Air Express trip. From Santa Fe to Prescott AZ, Ashland OR, and a round-trip flight from Salt Lake City to Washington DC. Then a drive home thru spectacular Utah, Colorado and New Mexico canyons.

Stops along the way…

    • Prescott AZ campus Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to meet Steve Bobinsky, Executive Director, Philanthropy Development, and Suzie Roth, Research Librarian, Hazy Library.  Read more about ERAU...

As full stories roll off my keyboard next week, I’ll attach a direct-link above.  Watch this space.  Gaye Lyn

Then & There…

A RECOMMENDED READ and irreplaceable for me: "Memories of the Jing Bao & Beyond," Authors Choice Press, 2001. Written by our own JACK Z. STETTNER - Veterans Air Express Co-Founder, Investor, Pilot and Operations Manager. As well as his considerable WWII experiences, Jack's book revealed new details about Veterans Air Express...plus the spirit and character of this organization that Jack obviously loved!
